  • Great time-saver

I enlarged these to remove the title to 115% and printed on 9 x 12 watercolor paper. My 7th and 8th graders are rather inexperienced with watercolor, so they experimented with flat & graded washes, wet-on-wet and blotting techniques. Great, easy product to use!

  • Watercolor Pumpkins

I printed these out on watercolor paper for my 5-6 graders and they really engaged in learning how to make a wash!

  • Pretty Pumpkin Practice

I can’t wait to do this exercise with my Intro to Art 9th graders. I know they will like to practice on an actual object than a value scale. I’m also thinking of using this as a colored pencil practice.

    • Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Yes, I think it would work equally well with colored pencil.

Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.

I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.

I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
