Online Life Drawing
Develop students’ observational drawing skills with these classroom-friendly online life drawing sessions. Each session features a professional life model in a carefully planned sequence of poses, giving students the opportunity to practise proportion, shape, line, gesture and the structure of the human figure. Models are minimally clothed, making the sessions suitable for use in the secondary/high school art classroom.

Each video is designed to make running a life drawing lesson easy. Simply display the session on your classroom screen and provide students with drawing materials and paper or sketchbooks. Timed poses and an on-screen countdown move students through a sequence of short, medium and longer drawings, encouraging them to work quickly at first before developing more sustained observational studies. Teachers can pause the video whenever they want to extend a pose, discuss drawing techniques or give feedback, making the sessions flexible enough to use with different ages, abilities and lesson lengths.
