Packed full of easy-to-follow, often quick and imaginative activities, ‘100 Ideas for Primary Teachers: Art’ is sure to be popular. It shares 100 creative and innovative ideas to engage pupils in all areas of the primary National Curriculum for art.
This book follows the same structure as the rest of the ‘100 Ideas’ series, with a quote, intro, body text, and ‘tips’ and ‘bonus ideas’. This makes it easy to read and easy to dip into. The book includes a link to some free, downloadable resources which helps make those activities easy to deliver.
I know many primary art teachers out there feel art is not their area of expertise. I’m confident this book will help them introduce fun ideas into their schemes of work and get them thinking outside of the box. Are you brave enough to get your students painting with mud? From exploring mark making through a musical Pen Disco to designing an eco-friendly home of the future, the fun activities cover drawing, painting, sculpture, and learning about different artists and creative careers.
Each idea uses accurate art terminology with clear explanations to ensure children are exposed to key vocabulary and concepts. The ideas are ready to use and easy to follow for all primary teachers, regardless of their experience or level of confidence in teaching art.
