This is a simple but very effective starter activity where students create a tonal value scale and add the definition for the word tone or value to a bookmark. As you can see from the image to the left, there is a version of this resource with the word ‘Tone’ and another for the word ‘Value’. This download also comes with a one-page PowerPoint that shows a good example.
