  • great SEL resource

Just found this page and will be revisiting a lot! This resource is wonderful therapeutic art activity. I am counselor working with kids and adolescents in North Carolina, USA, and so many of the resources I’ve seen on this page are wonderful for therapeutic expressive arts activities. Thank you!! Can’t wait to use this with my kids next week for Thanksgiving.

    • Hi Molly, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I’m glad you find the resource therapeutic. If you like this resource you may also like the following resource which is a short abstract watercolour project that I did with students after a stressful covid year! https://theartyteacher.com/downloads/watercolour-abstract-design/

  • Thanksgiving/ Thankfulness Spiral

Just Zoomed this project with middle school. Linked it with the spirals at Newgrange. Huge success! Kids and teachers loved it! Not just for Thanksgiving- use anytime or for SEL.

    Thank you Sarah!

Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.

I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.

I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
