Assessing a Drawing – Single Point Rubric

Single Point Rubric

A single point rubric is a great way to simplify assessment.  Stick this rubric on the back of work or at the bottom of a sketchbook page.  Use it to assess the work yourself or use it for self-assessment.

This rubric assesses the accuracy, detail and tones/values of a drawing. There are two versions of this one-page download; one using the term ‘value’, the other the word ‘tone’.

There are lots of art assessment resources on The Arty Teacher website.

When you register on The Arty Teacher you can download up to 3 of the resources that are free every month.
