Photography Rubric - Abstraction

This is a photography rubric to use alongside the chapter ‘Abstraction’ in the photography book ‘Open Aperture’.  You can read more and find out where to buy this book here.  This download is for a two-page rubric (pictured above) that assesses students on their ‘Knowledge and Understanding’, ‘Thinking/Inquiry’, ‘Application’ and ‘Communication’. The download includes:

  • A version for the US (and any country) that uses percentages.
  • A version for the UK with grades A* – D and below for A Level.
  • A version for the UK with numbers 9-0 for GCSE.

Thank you to author and photography teacher Paul Matte for sharing this rubric.

When you register on The Arty Teacher you can download up to 3 of the resources that are free every month.
